What you wrote here is thowing everbody off:

Also keep in mind that a slave... is not 'greater' than his master. Thus, if it is 'required' of us, then it would also be required of our Lord. And if it was 'required' of HIM... then most certainly is it required of us.

I think the answer you are looking for is to Listen to Him.

But I don't get the above quote either to tell the truth.

Did you ever have an experiance with Holy Spirit?

i have never felt the intervention of the holy spirit in my life.

maybe that is one of the reasons i never felt like a good christian.. i think someone can take any situation and say it was the holy spirit acting in their life if they want to believe bad enough.

i saw my mother do this many times.. anyone here had any experiences that they felt was the holy spirit acting in their lives?

I would like to beleive I had an Experience that I could say was the Holy Spirit, but I'm afraid it might be just wishful thinking, and might just be my heart going along what other people are saying and not the Truth.

I read about the Indwelling HS but can't say that I've ever experienced anything that I could definitly point to and say "YES TRULEY IT WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT".
I beleive in the Ressurrection of Jesus Christ and want to serve him, but I never have experienced the Indwelling Holy Spirit, not for sure anyway.

I think Shelby is not telling the truth and is making alot of what she says up. And beleive me I wish what she says was true, but common sense tell me be honest with yourself and don't allow wishful thinking cause me to fall for lies.

Sorry but that's the truth as naked as I can make it.

If I'm wrong I'm wrong but it would have to be so definite for me to beleive it 100%.

this was taken from wol, the topic is "why are we lied to?".

it started out mainly as a discussion on relationships, but justifications were inserted on "when" lying was ok,.

this is the short answer to that question about the patriachs evading the truth in those occasions: because they were protecting and furthering kingdom interests and not their own, they were backed up by jehovah.. jehovah reveals truth to whom it is owing... he reserves the right to withhold it from those who have no right to it.. for instance, when the brothers under ban hide printing equipment, literature, or even fugitives from persecution, they decieve and lie to protect them, and jehovah blesses them.

Reasoning on use of Blood to safe lives!

i don't post very often on this board and when i do i'm quite laconic.

it's my nature, im a person of few yet concise words.

that being said i would like to share my brief thoughts on the blood issue as i see it.. all jws are familiar with the words at luke 22:20 as they are read ritually every memorial: " ...this cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf.".

My mistake:

I think your omission of the words 'as we know it' was quite crucial to a proper understanding of this matter, DWilt. Anyone coming in on the tailend would read your post and assume that I said there exists no space and time in the spirit realm. And in truth, I said nothing of the sort. Indeed, space... AND time... exist in that realm; however, it is NOT space and time... as WE... humans... mere flesh, with its blood... 'earthling' man... know it. One would have to 'transcend' the flesh and come to be 'in the spirit'... to know it. I posted such an experience on this board not so long ago. I will relate it to YOU, if you so wish it.

I just assumed that when you said "time and space do not exist as we know it" you meant it didn't exist.

So if time exists in the Spirit Realm but not as we know it, as you say, could you then explain how time exists, but not as we know it?

Condolences

i want to take this opportunity to express my love and thanks to all of you who have generously offered to support me during this time in my life, both financially and emotionally.. i haven't been in a position to respond to any of my e-mail yet, but i promise i will do so soon.

i read the eulogy for my father i posted here to my mother and she clarified a few points and told me that she would like to have it read at my father's memorial service!.

for those who have expressed a desire to sent flowers or cards in behalf of my father and his family, you can do so at the address below.

In answer to your question, I would actually have to say 'yes'... 'no'. I say this because I am very aware that the PHYSICAL universe is not in any way size, shape or form the be-all-end-all of all things. This universe actually 'came out of' and 'exists within' a MUCH larger 'universe'... one that has NO boundaries and does not exist in space and time... as WE know it... the SPIRITUAL universe.

The reason why it don't make sense is:
That if in the spirit realm does not exist in space or TIME, then time means nothing for those in the Spirit Realm, since they are not bound by it.YES

It would also mean that Satan and his demons would be able to predict the future with unfailing accuracy, since they would not be bound by time being they live in the Spirit Realm. And since they would know the future why fight against what they already know to be the outcome?

What are you thoughts on size is relative? What I mean is:

If size is relative and the theory of relativity are true, could our entire universe be like just an electron, or even smaller part of some other universe, composed of universes like our own, and that universe be just the same to another universe and go on and on like this forever?
Since size is relative.
